Beef chilli con carne

This curry is otherwise named as American Tex-Mex spicy beef stew. Chilli con corne means peppers with meat. This curry is often made with tomatoes and beans.


Ingredients:-


4 tbsp olive oil
400gm cubed beef
1 onion finely chopped
4 garlic chopped
1 400g can of chopped tomatoes
1 green pepper chopped
1 red pepper chopped
1 chilli chopped
½ tsp cayenne
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
14 oz cooked red kidney beans
3 1⁄3 fl oz chicken stock
sour cream for garnish
a few coriander springs
salt and pepper



Directions:-

  • Heat oil in a pan and saute onions, garlic till soft.
  • Add in beef bell peppers, chilli, cayenne, cumin, oregano.
  • Once the beef is cooked add the chicken stock 
  • Season with pepper and salt.
  • Just boil it.
  • Then place it into the centre of the preheated oven for 1 hr and stir occasionally.
  • Add the beans after one hr and cook for another 10min.
  • Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream.
  • Done.
