Bathura/ Indian bread

Ingredients:-

Plain flour/Maida-2cups
Semolina-1/4th of a cup
Sugar-2tblspn
Yeast-1/2tspn
Curd-half cup
Salt to taste
Water required.

Directions:-

  • Mix in all the dry ingredients and mix well. Then add the wet ingredients to make the dough.  Don't make a  hard dough and not too loose.
  • Knead very well, if necessary with two hands. Stretch and fold in several times. Watch this video to get a very good result.
  • Now press them using a rolling pin or a presser.
  • Then slide them into oil heated at medium flame. They pop up with bubbles. Then press it on one side of the bubble to slowly push the air into the other side so that you get a big ball of bathura. Fry them till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chicken curry or any masala.

DONE.

BON APPETITE:)
