Ulli chammanthi


Dosa with ulli chammanthi is a superb combination. You dont have to get small onions for this. Large onions are sufficient and much sweet. This sweetness blend with the spices. Let's see the easy recipe.

Ingredients:-(Serves-2; Cooking time- 20 min)

Onion sliced-2
Ghee/Fresh Coconut Oil-1tblspn
Tomato sliced-1 small
Red chilli powder-1tspn( or more as desired spiciness)
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Salt to taste.

Directions:-

  • Heat ghee/coconut oil in a pan.
  • Saute the onions till transparent.(10 min).
  • Add tomatoes and cook them  (4 min).
  • Add spices and salt. Stir for 2 min to cook the pwdrs.
  • Grind them using an electric blender to form a smooth paste.
  • Serve with dosa /idly.
